8th Uro-oncologic Update Symposium on Prostate Cancer on 1.3.2008 in Cologne

On 01. March 2008 from 9.00 am to 13.00 pm the West Germans prostate center hosts the Uro-oncologic Update Symposium for the eighth time at the Maternushaus in Cologne. Together with renowned experts from Europe and the United States, we invite you warmly to discuss the latest developments in the diagnosis and therapy of prostate cancer. The focus is on the possibilities and limits of current options.

With about 40.000 new cases per year prostate cancer is the most common cancer of men. Especially in the light of demographic changes and improved early detection methods not only urologists, but also internists and family doctors will increasingly be confronted as the primary contact person with the question of the necessary diagnostics and adequate therapy.

Rapid advances in medical technology have led to a variety of accepted treatment options for prostate cancer available, which allows a more individual therapy decision. A comprehensive and expert advice to the patient requires a thorough knowledge of the current state of diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities. Moreover, media such as television, newspapers and especially the internet, give the patient a flood of information that is difficult for him to assess and classify. Here our task as doctors is to verify and recommend the important and relevant information.

With a lot of room for discussion, we offer an excellent forum for the exchange of different disciplines and hope for lively and interesting discussions.

We look forward to your visit to Cologne!
